April Trades Council meeting

Greetings comrades.

The April meeting of Trades Council will be at 8pm on Wednesday 7 April, at The Stag, Upper Bedford Street, Kemp Town, Brighton.

This meeting will be the first since the excellent March for Jobs demonstration and will be a great opportunity to discuss the next stage of the campaign following strike action by BA cabin crew, PCS workers and UCU staff at Sussex University among others.

We have union members wanting to co-ordinate action against the plans for Portslade Community College to be turned into a city academy, May Day plans to organise, and an idea for a public meeting to on the right to strike and the anti-trade union laws has been put forward for discussion, in light of the undemocratic decisions made by unelected judges to stop Unite BA and RMT strike action.

Spread word of our meeting and let everyone in your union branch know there's a trades council meeting going on.

See you all there.
