Send a delegate! Brighton Stop the Cuts Coalition organisation meeting

Meet 7.30pm Monday October 4 at the Caxton Arms, North Gardens, Brighton

The Brighton Stop the Cuts Coalition launched by nearly 40 delegates in the summer has already held what we understand to be the biggest anti-cuts group public launch in the country with well over 200 in attendance.

The campaign is backing a number of events called by unions in the coming weeks and this meeting will allow us to decide how we can support the defence of public services locally and continue to get the message out that cuts are both unnecessary and harmful.

A particular focus of the meeting will have to be supporting local workers whose jobs are already at risk and organising opposition to the spending review due on October 20.

Delegates are welcome from all union branches, workplaces, community groups, campaigns and political parties.

We hope your organisation will be able to send a representative to the meeting on October 4. If you can attend it is very helpful if you email the trades council so we have an idea of numbers. Email brightontradescouncil@gmail.com
